The Rescued by Faith team holds firmly to the following core beliefs as the foundation of our faith:

1. The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, having the same nature and attributes, working together in perfect unity.

• "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)

• "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." (2 Corinthians 13:14)

 

2. The Incarnation of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became incarnate, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught the way of God. He died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will come again in glory.

• "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

• "For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." (Colossians 2:9)

 

3. The Bible as the Supernatural Revelation of God

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the ultimate standard of faith and practice, revealing God’s character, will, and purposes for humanity.

• "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16)

• "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2 Peter 1:21)

 

4. The Present Ministry of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and empowers all believers, enabling them to live godly lives and perform good works as the necessary evidence of genuine faith in Christ.

• "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth." (John 14:16-17)

• "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." (John 14:26)

• "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23)
